With all the competitors and visitors at Silver Lake for this state championship event, there are always things to do. If you would be interested in helping out with any of the categories listed below, fill out the form at the bottom of the page and let us know. We would love the help and will get back to you quickly to describe the exact need and see if you are interested.

THINGS TO DO

  • : " Judge in the amateur categories - no training needed - go to the judges' application form "
  • Judge in the KCBS categories - prior KCBS training required - go to the judges page and sign up for the judging class
  • " Assist with the judging area - help with scoring, entry numbering, running scores to the scoring table, and keying scores into the computer - use form below
  • " Assist with team set-up and getting located - meet and greet teams, help them find their designated spaces, relaying any problems they might encounter to main scoring area. Team check in is Friday at 6 am through 5 pm. - use the form below "
  • Meet and welcome teams - Be a Silver Lake emissary and go around and visit and thank all teams for coming to Silver Lake and participating in this barbeque event - use form below
  • " Assist with soft drink control - we will be supplying soft drinks and water to vendors and local groups operating drink stands. We will need to account for inventory transferred and assist with getting it to the locations - use forms below
  • " Other miscellaneous small tasks that come up
